Polity is now Suluh Centre

Suluh means the torch you carry to light the way. It is not decoration; it is the argument. Most institutions try to shine a light from above. We begin where change actually grows — in communities, in young people, and in the values we build on. When people carry their own light, it lasts.

The name is new. The work is not. Everything Polity built continues here, organised around three pillars: Community, the present, where women lead; Youth & Education, the next generation; and Ideas, Ethics & Society, the foundation beneath both. Research and advocacy run through all three as the method rather than a separate department.

Nothing was dropped. The programmes, the convenings, the research and the partnerships carry over intact — and the continuity is set out in full on our About page, so it can be checked rather than taken on trust.

We remain independent, secular by design, and built to welcome everyone. We work across Malaysia, from Kuala Lumpur.
