Wanita Mendunia: leadership that begins where you are

In most communities, the person already holding things together is a woman. She is running the surau kitchen, chasing the school about a broken gate, checking on a neighbour who has stopped answering the door. She is doing the work of a community leader without the title, the network or the budget.

Wanita Mendunia starts from that. Not from a theory of leadership, but from the women already doing it — and what they would need to do more. Because what is often missing is not their ability, but the access, confidence and pathways to turn that leadership into wider impact.

Participants begin with training and exposure across leadership, communication, economic resilience, digital skills, health and community organising. They then develop their own ideas, receive guidance and support, and put what they have learned into practice through community-based projects.

The aim is not for the learning to stop with one participant, but for its impact to travel back into her community.
